Fourth Graders Made Physical Map Models of the United States of America using model clay, foam core and other supplies.  A title, legend, and compass rose were required along with the following geographical features:  Mississippi River, Appalachian Mountains, Rocky Mountains, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Ohio River, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico.
