Despite what you may have heard, history is something you do, not simply something you study. To do history is to research and form arguments about what happened in the past, why it happened, and how it shapes our present. History is a debate, and a puzzle. No set of evidence is complete and all arguments are subject to revision or rejection. So take up the challenge: think for yourself, interpet, and find meaning in the past.
