Meet Mr. SpenoMr. Speno is in his (lucky!) thirteenth year teaching at Cincinnati Country Day School. He chose the teaching profession mainly because of his own positive school experiences at Cayuga Heights School (Ithaca, NY), Deerfield Academy (Deerfield, MA), and Brown University (Providence, RI). He particularly enjoys third and fourth grade because he gets to share his enthusiasm for learning in many subject areas. He also appreciates the humor and energy of eight, nine and ten year olds. Mr. Speno lives in a 100+ year-old home in the Linwood neighborhood of Cincinnati, on a hillside overlooking the Little Miami floodplain. He lives with his wife, Sue, daughter, Erin (8), son, Benjamin (5), and cat, Marie (?). He enjoys golfing, cooking, Morris dancing, solving crossword puzzles, reading and listening to books-on-tape. When not at CCD or his Linwood estate, he is likely to be found working out at the M. E. Lyons YMCA or tapping his feet to the music in the gallery at Music Hall.
