 6th Grade Geography

Welcome to the study of people, places and things.  The sixth grade geography course covers the cultures of:  South America, Mexico, the Middle East, India, Japan and the former Soviet Union.  The sixth grade curriculum explores ways in which geography defines and shapes cultures.  The goal of the course is to develop a greater understanding of the earth's physical features, world cultures and global issues.  Through cooperative teaming and group projects, students strengthen their social and communication skills while gaining knowledge of the world around them.  Topics are integrated with the English, science and global connections curriculum.

Beth Langenbahn has taught geography at Cincinnati Country Day School since 1994.  She received an undergraduate degree in English from The Ohio State University.  She is a mother of three children all of whom attend Cincinnati Country Day School.
