This is a one semester elective class. The text used in the class is Workshop
Statistics: Discovery with Data and Fathom by Allan
Rossman, Beth
Chance and Robin Lock. This text encourages students to work
collaboratively. Additionally, students are expected to write a great deal
in the class and the students use the computer software, Fathom,
on a regular basis. Many of the
book's data files are available on the web.
Also, students make extensive use of their Texas
Instruments graphing
calculator in this course. This
is usually a small class and students have a great opportunity to interact
with the teacher and their classmates.
