The American College Test (ACT) is as widely and uniformly accepted as the SAT I exam at the vast majority of colleges and universities throughout the US. This is a very good exam to investigate taking, especially for the independent school students. The difference in the ACT as compared to the SAT is four subject exam areas (and writing) to be tested (ACT) instead of two reasoning capacity areas (plus the new writing section) to be tested (SATI). This site includes on-line ACT registration, links to colleges, ACT preparation, financial need estimator (an excellent program!), ACT dates, ACT exam for students with learning disabilities and much more. ** ALWAYS register for the ACT Plus Writing. Similar to the SAT registration, seniors should be sure to include up to 4 schools of your choice to which the ACT will send your scores for FREE. Cost for ACT test, $28.00 + $14.00 writing test = $42.00. Test Date Registration deadline June 9, 2007 May 4 Sept. 15, 2007 (only in Indiana) Aug. 10 October 27, 2007 Sept. 21 December 8, 2007 Nov. 2
